The existence of a man, often burdened by society’s rigid expectations, is a double - edged sword of silent endurance and restrained vulnerability. From the moment a boy is taught not to cry, he's handed the heavy mantle of stoicism, an unyielding mask he must wear to be considered “strong.” Behind that mask lies the raw, unspoken weight of a world that demands he succeed, protect, and remain unshaken. He’s told to soldier on through the gnawing emptiness, the paralyzing fear of inadequacy, and the sleepless nights of a mind racing with doubt.

A man is expected to be the unwavering pillar when others crumble, the silent rock that absorbs the storm without breaking. Yet, within him, there’s a persistent, guttural scream that yearns to be heard, a sorrow that dares to surface but often goes unacknowledged because to admit that pain is to risk being seen as weak. The struggle is not only to rise to expectations but to do so while carrying the quiet agony of having one's humanity stripped away by the weight of "manhood."

There’s a courage in that silent suffering - an act of resilience in the face of a culture that fails to recognize the ache of never feeling enough. It’s the quiet courage to wake up each day and press forward when the temptation to crumble seems overwhelming, the courage to try, even in a world that rarely applauds a man's pain.

A man's existence is one of hidden courage, where vulnerability is seen as a luxury he can’t afford. It’s an existence of profound loneliness, where connection is often forged in shared silence rather than in open expression. There’s a fear of being found out as "less," as fragile, or as a fraud. Yet, the act of living as a man - authentically and without pretense - is to defy a world that so often refuses to understand or validate the depths of that lived experience. It is to be human, with all the raw, unspoken wounds, and still stand tall amidst the storm, even when the winds threaten to uproot all sense of self.

As a man, never act desperate, stay calm in tough times & know it's your turn to struggle, like every great man before you.Happy International men's day Kings!
